Christopher Scott

I am inspired by the contemporary world. Global culture and connectivity influence my approach to design across mediums, forming my opinion that good design is aesthetic disburdenment. From the aesthetic view, design should echo the collective Zeitgeist, creating an ease of universal understanding that brings to life the spirit of the time we find ourselves in. Regarding disburdenment, design should be relevant and purposeful. Relevancy transforms an otherwise subjective profession – is what we have created needed or not? Did it have an effect on someone? Did it rouse emotion, action, conversation, intrigue or benefit someone’s life? Combined, the aesthetic in tandem with the idea of disburdenment is what I aim for in my work with brands and clients. Being aware of and creating within these criteria is the process of good design.
