I practice human-centered design, currently within the Defense and Intelligence portfolio at Accenture Federal Services. My expertise is in qualitative ethnographic design research, product innovation and strategy, UX and design systems, service design, brand design, and both physical and digital product design.

I’m a member of the Design Management Institute, the Service Design Network, and I hold an M.A. in design management from Savannah College of Art and Design, which is considered a cognate for service design, design research, and business innovation.

In addition to federal design consulting, my experience spans commercial advertising, brand design and digital experience (FCB, Leo Burnett, Digitas, R/GA, Razorfish, Ogilvy & Mather), higher-ed design education (SCAD Director of eLearning), product design and CX consulting (Material+ / Aruliden).

Niche design entrepreneurship highly influences my work. Prior to the pandemic, I founded an industrial design product consultancy, Sous Design, which partnered with leading chefs to co-create objects for fine dining experiences. I currently run Hito Bonsai, a bonsai pot design studio exploring innovation in form, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
